Privacy Policy
AppBlur Pro is designed to protect what is visible on your screen.
This privacy policy explains how AppBlur Pro handles data when you use the Chrome extension and the related landing pages.
Last updated: April 16, 2026
1. What AppBlur Pro does
AppBlur Pro is a Chrome extension that lets users visually blur sensitive content on web pages during screen sharing, product demos, presentations, and recordings. The extension works by applying visual blur effects to page elements selected by the user.
2. Data stored locally by the extension
AppBlur Pro may store extension preferences locally in the browser using Chrome storage. This can include blur intensity, whether Keep Blur is enabled, and information needed to restore user-created blur areas or blurred elements on a specific URL.
This local data is used only to provide the extension features requested by the user. It is not sold, rented, or used for advertising.
3. Web page content
AppBlur Pro needs access to the current page so it can apply blur effects to the elements selected by the user. The extension does not sell browsing content, does not use page content for advertising, and does not intentionally collect the text, images, forms, or private information displayed on the pages you visit.
4. Payments and premium access
Premium subscriptions and purchases are managed through ExtensionPay. When you use premium features, ExtensionPay may process payment-related information such as your email address, payment status, subscription plan, and billing details. AppBlur Pro uses this information only to determine whether premium features should be available.
Payment details such as full card numbers are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by AppBlur Pro.
5. Data sharing
AppBlur Pro does not sell user data. Data may be shared only when required to provide the service, such as payment status through ExtensionPay, or when required by law.
6. Permissions
The extension requests Chrome permissions needed to provide its single purpose: helping users blur sensitive information on web pages. These permissions may include access to the active tab, scripting to inject the toolbar after user action, storage for local preferences, and page access to restore blur settings on supported URLs.
7. Data retention and control
Locally stored blur preferences remain in your browser unless you clear extension data, remove saved blur settings, or uninstall the extension. You can also use the extension's Clear All feature to remove blur settings for the current page.
8. Children's privacy
AppBlur Pro is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The latest version will be available on this page.
10. Questions and feedback
If you have questions about this privacy policy or AppBlur Pro, please ask directly in the Chrome Web Store reviews. This helps keep feedback public, transparent, and easy to track.
